British Chieftain - 4RTR (Tamiya)

Chieftain tank commission. The elephant eyes reference is from the Imperial War Museum Duxford. Fighting or 'A' vehicles of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment carried a distinctive "Chinese" eye on each side, a tradition continued by the 1st Royal Tank Regiment upon amalgamation. Tanks were generally named, with all names beginning with the letter "D". Examples of names include Destroyer, Dakeyne, etc. The Chieftain was in service with the British Army until 1995.

Elafant 1945 (Italeri)

This Italeri Elefant took quite a bit of research, to which the whole project was aimed at. I wanted to portray one of the last remaining versions fighting around Berlin in March 1945. No real pictures could be found (to date) so markings and numbering the tank was impossible. As for Zimmerit, of the remaining 50 that survived Kursk, 48 were sent to Italy with Zimmerit of which 14 survived to fight around Berlin. There was no info as to the 2 remaining Elefants so I presume they were Zimmerit less and also fought until the end. Maybe, I dunno.

Maximillian (The Black Hole 1979)

Maximillian was a childhood hero of mine. Recently got this 1979 kit for free and decided to install the glowing eye by building in a £1 Halloween torch. He's 11 inches tall and very cool.

King Tiger (Tamiya)

Tiger II is the common name of a German heavy tank of the Second World War. The final official German designation was Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, often shortened to Tiger B. The ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 182. It is also known under the informal name Königstiger (the German name for the "Bengal tiger"), often translated as King Tiger or Royal Tiger by Allied soldiers.

The M1 Abrams is a third-generation main battle tank produced in the United States. It is named after General Creighton Abrams, former Army Chief of Staff and Commander of US military forces in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972. The M1 is a well armed, heavily armored, and highly mobile tank designed for modern armored ground warfare.
